A journal of my crazy desire to complete one craft or creative project every day for one year.

A New Year - My Way!

I recently attended the Stampin' Up! Leadership Convention in San Antonio, Texas. I was inspired not only to grow my crafting business, but also to get back to the things I love like crafting! I haven't posted on this blog in ages (my bad!), and I kind of miss talking about all of the fun and creative things that I've been working on like the super-cool wall art that I made out of dollar store canvases and Stampin' Up! DSP from our Sale-A-Bration line. I mean, it's time to put my creative mark on this new house of ours!

While I'll continue to post pictures of my finished creations on my flickr account, I hope to speak about my crafting journey a bit more here than just simply listing what projects I've completed.

I've decided that 2012 is the year for change - along with a few major personal changes (keep watching for details!), I'm determined to work on my crafting business and really launch my favourite part of it. Truth be told, I love to teach; to share the things I love with people and watch them discover just how creative they can be. The best way for me to do that is through classes and clubs, so that's what I'm going to focus on building this year. Interested? Check out my event listings at www.lindsayh.stampinup.net

In the mean time, have a wonderful, creative 2012. Hope to see you around!

Well, it's been a while... sorry about that!

Truth be told, I haven't been doing a ton of crafty projects lately. It's not my fault, I bought a house so most of my stuff is packed, I'm trying to catch up on my reading (see by other blog: covers2covers.blogspot.com), and things have just generally been nuts! Yeah, I know, what else is new!

But I can't stay away from the scissors and glue (and stamps, and punches, and wool, and floss, and and and...) forever, so here's a few projects I've completed in the last little while:

- 3 manly birthday cards
- 1 wedding card
- 1 Thanksgiving card for a swap
- 1 Christmas card for a swap
- 1 Thinking of You card
- a business kit and
- a BAT!!! (see above, he's adorable!)

I also have a Christmas Card class coming up soon, so when those samples are done, I will let you know!

As always, photos are on Flickr.

Happy Fall,
Lindsay

T+10: DONE

Phew! For a while there I didn't know if I'd make it, but here we are at the end of this journey!

Truth be told, I was running out of ideas for fast projects until I got an adorable note card in the mail yesterday - such a simple and easy design, and totally moldable to whatever sentiment you are trying to say. The beauty of these note cards is that they are almost like a tag - you just write on the back.

I also finished off a couple of projects for my cousin's baby shower this weekend... there is actually one more I need to finish which will be my focus every waking minute between now and Saturday! Keep your fingers crossed that I get it done on time!!!

Well, here's the final five!

361 - Little Ted in Blue (*See Above)
362 - Nursery Napkins (set of 15 - 5 each in 3 designs)
363 - Thanks note card
364 - Because I Care note card

And finally...

365 - Good Luck note card
For the next project, of course!

Expect to see more posts on this blog as I will keep talking about my favourite projects that I complete - but probably not as often. As of September 1st, my new crazy project begins - 200 books read and reviewed in one year!!! You can follow that journey at covers2covers.blogspot.com

Thanks for watching - keep crafting!

T+9: Projects 356-360

We're so close now I can taste it!

I played around with my Halloween stuff again today - I swear it's because it's getting dark earlier now... it's just 9 pm and it's already dark outside - icky!

The only good things about the darker times of the year are holidays - Thanksgiving, Halloween, Christmas, My Birthday, New Years, Valentine's Day, St. Patty's Day, Easter, May 2-4 ... then it finally starts to get light out again... this is Canada after all!

I absolutely adore Halloween - probably because I get to get dressed up, act like a goof and eat chocolate, and no one thinks anything of it!

Here's the five Halloween cards I completed today:

356 - Halloween Smiles Card
357 - Embossed Halloween Card
358 - Fang-tastic Halloween Card
359 - Spooky Halloween Card
360 - Boo! Card

Nearly there.... Five more to go!!!!

353 - Batty Halloween Card

T+4: Projects 317-341

Digital Designing. So much less nit-picky than physical crafting! If you don't like it, delete it - no wasted supplies!

I've wanted to make a 2012 calendar for a while. Actually, I wanted to make a 2011 calendar last fall, but never got around to it! Anyway, two digital pages per month plus one cover page equals 25 projects - almost one month's worth of crafting in two days. That has to be a record!
