Projects 228-260: Final Month!

Final month of my project...

My boyfriend just told me that I've completed my goal - if I decided to take the weekends off! So good that he can do the math in his head like that. The only math I can do is 260 is not yet 365!

So, I'm going to try and complete 105 more projects in the next 24 days. Yikes! Keep your fingers crossed for me...

This past couple of weeks has seen a gnome resurgence! I still have to make the gnome tags for the new batch, and I have a bunch of Christmas stuff to get cracking on, so hopefully we can make it!

Here's the stuff I've completed since the last post:

228 - Sunflower Necklace (Clay)
229 - Moon & Star Magnet (Clay - no photo yet, it hasn't made it home from the Guild!)
230 - Dragonfly Necklace (Clay- again, no photo yet)
231 - Dragonfly Magnet (Clay)

236 - Mini Flower Card
237 - Hello Flower Card
238 - Nautical Birthday Card
239 - Road Map Birthday Card
240 - Mr. & Mrs. gift card holder

And now the Gnome Resurgence!
241 - Robert - He thinks he's sooo scary...
242 - Ivan - He actually stuffs the toes in those huge shoes... don't tell him I said that.
243 - Shmendrick - Thinks he's a magician... nobody is fooled!
244 - Friedrick - Like C&W.... never gets the words right though...
245 - Walt - The goofball of the bunch!
246 - Kitty - The lady in charge! No one else has figured that out yet.
247 - Morgana - Dancing Queen!
248 - Molly - Watch out for her smile - she's wicked at cards!
249 - Clara - She dreams of the stage...
250 - Winnie - She's kinda stuck in the 70's... has a thing for Johnny Travolta...

And a few more gifty projects I've squeezed in this week:

251 - Green & Pink Flowers necklace
252 - Black & White Flowers necklace
253 - Blue Striped necklace
254 - Small Green & Burgundy flower necklace
255 - Small Red * Gold necklace
256 - Small blue leaf necklace

Projects 54-79: Oh Christmas Tree!

Wow. There are a lot of projects in this category to be posted! It is December after all, and I love Christmas!

These projects are mostly Christmas cards, but there are also a few other items such as homemade wrapping paper, gift tags, and of course my Christmas Tree!

Some of these cards were made at various stamping events, and so some of them are not my design. I have noted the items that I did not design (but totally assembled myself!) on each photo in Flickr.

Happy Holiday Crafting!

Projects 30-38: Happy Birthday!

Ah birthdays... in my family they tend to come in clumps. About half of my immediate family has a birthday in December as well as a couple of my friends. The others have managed to group themselves in March, May, and October. I refuse to have kids in any of those months, especially December!

Ahem.

So, birthdays are a big deal, and making birthday cards is a lot of fun! My difficulty seems to be making "boy" oriented cards (not little boys, they're easy, it's the grown up boys that are difficult!)

Here's the list of Birthday related items that I've finished over the last little while. I've put the relative difficulty of the projects in brackets beside the titles. Don't forget, all of these items have a picture on Flickr that you can see!

30 - Sue's Birthday Card (Medium) * See image on this page
31- Wine Bottle Birthday Card Holder (Medium)
32 - Aunt Liz's Birthday Card (Easy)
33 - Bold Birthday (Easy)
34 - Striped Birthday Card (Medium)
35 - Birthday Gift Card Holder (Medium)
36 - Birthday Wishes Card (Easy)
37 - Cake! (Easy)
38 - Teeny Tiny Birthday (Easy)

I still need to make one more birthday card for this month... sigh.

Day 5: Fanciful Gift Cards

Gift cards - oh so versatile in the giving department, great for birthdays, holidays, and co-workers, yet oh so boring in the attractive department. Now some stores give you a nice little box that you can actually wrap, but let's face it, most places you're lucky if you get a paper sleeve to stick it in.

So, my project for yesterday was to design an attractive and easy to assemble card to put a gift card inside. After fiddling with some regular paper for a while, I came up with a design that has two cuts, two punches (to make it fancy!), and four folds. Add a little tape, ribbon and embellishments and presto, we have a winner! I made my first one out of regular card stock, but I think double sided card stock (with a different pattern on each side) would make it even better!

Today's project is a little more intensive... hope I can get it done - I'll keep you posted!
